Bio-Rad Makes $82 Million Bid for BioSource

Bio-Rad said it has made an $82 million unsolicited offer to buy BioSource International. The Hercules, Calif.-based biotechnology company said in a statement that over the past two years it has made repeated attempts to negotiate a merger with the Camarillo, Calif.-based life sciences company.
