Takeda to Move Offices, Expand Staff by 500

Lincolnshire-based Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc. plans to relocate and expand its headquarters in Deerfield, adding 500 new jobs with help from the state of Illinois. The state will provide more than $15 million in tax credits and grants to help the company build its new campus at the northwest corner of I-94 and Lake Cook Road, Gov. Blagojevich said Wednesday. Takeda Pharmaceuticals plans to complete the first phase of construction in the second half of 2006 with a 380,000-square-foot headquarters complex to include two office buildings.
