Pharmaniaga to Explore Biotech

Pharmaniaga Bhd is viewing its up-and-coming small volume injectables (SVI) plant as groundwork for the company's future participation in the biotechnology industry. Its managing director Azhar Hussain said moving forward, Pharmaniaga would continue to explore new areas of biotechnology. In its latest annual report, Pharmaniaga stated that it is setting the direction for involvement in fields such as biogenerics and potential drugs developed from local herbal remedies.
