Ultrasonix Launches Sonix SP Ultrasound System

Ultrasonix Medical of Canada has launched the Sonix SP -- a comprehensive ultrasound solution for multidisciplinary ultrasound imaging.

The Sonix SP complements clinical settings such as obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, radiology, and other specialty practices. It has an open PC-based operating architecture and is offered in an economical price range, making advanced ultrasound technology accessible to a broad clinical audience. In the obstetrical/gynecological field, for instance, the Sonix SP is the only system in its price range to offer 3-D and 4-D imaging, providing clinicians with more diagnostic tools and information.

The Sonix SP is also equipped with "Q Sonix," a quick exam wizard, which walks the user through patient data entry, application presets and probe selection. Q Sonix streamlines all system parameters for each exam type for optimal ease of use. In addition to traditional service support and remote diagnostics, the Sonix SP also is capable of software upgrade via the internet.
