Abiomed Announces Completion of Impella Acquisition

Abiomed, a manufacturer of products for circulatory care and support, announced the completion of its acquisition of Impella CardioSystems AG, a privately held company located in Aachen, Germany. Abiomed has acquired all of the outstanding capital stock of Impella for approximately 4.04 million shares of Abiomed common stock and approximately $1.8 million in cash.
