Zydus Joins Mayne to Produce Bulk, Generic Drugs for Cancer

Pharma major Zydus Cadila has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Australia-based Mayne Pharma to manufacture generic injectible, cytotoxic (anti-cancer) medicines as well as bulk drugs for global markets. The new facility to be set up in Gujarat will manufacture both the solution and freeze-dried products with a maximum capacity of 10-12 million vials per annum, a press release said.
