Sanofi-Aventis to Lose Out on 10.3 Percent of Rhodia Voting Rights

May 20, 2005

Sanofi-aventis SA will lose 10.3 percent of its voting rights at Rhodia SA's AGM because it missed the deadline set by the AMF financial markets regulator for declaring its stake in the chemicals group, Collette Neuville, head of minority shareholders association ADAM said. With a 15.3 percent stake in Rhodia, the French pharmaceuticals group should have declared that it holds over 15 percent of Rhodia's capital, Neuville said, confirming an earlier report in La Tribune, which cited a letter by the AMF sent to Neuville.
