Court Denies Dentsply Rehearing on Ruling

Dentsply International Inc. said Monday that an appeals court denied the dental product maker's petition to rehear a case that ruled the company engaged in anticompetitive practices in its marketing of dentures. The company, which is the market leader in false teeth, said it disagrees with the appeals court's decision and is considering an appeal to the Supreme Court. However, the company said that if the appeals court decision stands, it will no longer be able to require exclusive sales agreements with dealers.
