FDA Approves Vascular Solutions Catheters

Vascular Solutions announced that it has received FDA clearance for its 7 French Langston dual-lumen catheters. The Maple Grove, Minn.-based medical device manufacturer said it will immediately begin direct U.S. sales. The catheters are used to simultaneously measure pressures from two locations in the arteries. The 7F size is smaller than the Vascular Solutions' original 8F catheter, which was launched last September. The company said the new catheters were introduced in response to doctors' requests.
