Sandoz to Build Bulk Drug Plant at Mahad

Sandoz, the world's largest generic player, is making more investments in the country. Andreas Rummelt, CEO of Sandoz, said that the company is setting up an active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) facility at Mahad in Maharashtra. "The new facility will be a multi-purpose chemicals plant. It is part of our strategy to be more vertically integrated," said Mr. Rummelt.
