Mochida to Become Sole Distributor of Ortho Oral Contraceptive

Mochida Pharmaceutical announced that it will become a sole distributor of Ortho 777-21 and OrthoM-21, low-dose oral contraceptives (triphasic and monophasic, respectively) currently co-marketed with Jannssen Pharmaceutical, as of June 1. Manufactured by U.S. Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, the Ortho contraceptives has been marketed in Japan since 1999. The decision will allow Mochida to strengthen its presence in the obstetric and gynecologic field.
