VIASYS COMPLETES PULMONETIC SYSTEMS ACQUISITION

VIASYS Healthcare announced the closing of its previously announced acquisition of Pulmonetic Systems. Pulmonetic Systems is a designer and manufacturer of portable mechanical ventilators for home health care, which is based in Minneapolis, Minn. Under the terms of the agreement, VIASYS has acquired all of the outstanding stock of Pulmonetic Systems in a merger with one of its subsidiaries for cash consideration of approximately $98 million, subject to a post-closing adjustment based upon the net asset value of Pulmonetic Systems as of the closing date.
