Schering Opens Asia-Pacific HQ in Singapore

Germany's Schering AG (SHR) Monday opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, joining a number of drug companies that have decided to locate their regional management activities in the city-state. Since it began promoting the biomedical sciences in 2000, Singapore has attracted over 50 multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to its shores, the Economic Development Board said. Their activities range from research & development and clinical trials to manufacturing and logistics.
