AKUNYILI RESTATES COMMITMENT TO ERADICATING FAKE DRUGS

Director-General (DG) of National Agency for Foods and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Dr Dora Akunyili on Monday restated the resolve of the agency to eradicate fake drugs in the country. Speaking at the Medreich Product launch in Lagos, she insisted that there were no cutting corners by pharmaceutical firms in Nigeria in the manufacturing of quality drugs. Dr Akunyili, who was represented by a director in the agency, Mr Segiru Momodu, praised Medreich for maintaining a trade record of manufacturing world class pharmaceutical products.
