GSK, UCB JAPAN TO JOINTLY PROMOTE IMURAN TABLETS

On June 20, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and UCB Japan jointly announced that they have agreed to co-promote Imuran tablets, an immunosupressant manufactured and currently distributed by GSK, in Japan. The two companies will launch the joint promotion efforts on July 1. Imuran tablets, which are currently marketed in about 100 countries worldwide, are used in the treatment of transplant rejection.
