BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB BUFFALO PLANT SOLD

June 30, 2005

After months of negotiations a deal is in place for a Toronto-area company to buy Bristol-Myers Squibb's Buffalo plant. Financial terms of the transaction, reported by Business First in April, were not disclosed. Empire State Development officials announced the purchase by Contract Pharmaceuticals, saying it will save 200 jobs and add another 30 at the facility on Buffalo's West Side. CPL will take over a 415,000-square-foot plant and continue to manufacture products under contract for Bristol-Myers Squibb and other third-party customers.
