RELIANT ANNOUNCES SALE OF AXID TO BRAINTREE

Reliant Pharmaceuticals today announced that it has sold Axid (nizatidine) Oral Solution to Braintree Laboratories, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Braintree has acquired the U.S. rights to the product, including related pending patent applications, the New Drug Application and a license to the Axid Oral Solution trademark. Axid Oral Solution was formulated and developed by Reliant and approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for use in pediatric patients aged 12 years and up in May 2004.
