SAWAI PHARMACEUTICAL TO TAKE OVER THREE ETHICAL PRODUCTS FROM NIHON SCHERING

Sawai Pharmaceutical (TSE: 4555) announced on August 2 that it will take over the production and sales operations for three ethical products from Nihon Schering. They are blood coagulation inhibitor Caprocin Inj., gastrointestinal tract stabilizers Coreminal Tab. and Coreminal Fine granule, and antiparkinson drug Bicamol Tab. Sawai Pharmaceutical plans to start manufacturing these products on October 1 and marketing them on November 1. With the products, Sawai Pharmaceutical will focus on large hospitals to bring in new customers.
