TORRENT PHARMA TO SET UP INSULIN FACILITY FOR NOVO NORDISK

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd on Saturday announced that it has signed an agreement with Novo Nordisk A/S, Denmark through its Indian arm, to establish a new, dedicated formulation and packaging facility for Insulin, exclusively for Novo Nordisk. This new facility will have the requisite flexibility to expand and will be set up at the Company's existing manufacturing facility at Indrad, Gujarat. The facility is designed to meet the expected increased demand for Insulin, in view of the burgeoning diabetes population of India.
