GTC BIOTHERAPEUTICS SETS STOCK SALE TO RAISE UP TO $13M

Life sciences innovator GTC Biotherapeutics Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to raise between $8 million and $13 million in a private stock sale. The buyers in the deal were not disclosed. GTC, based in Framingham, Mass., said the money will support general corporate activities and ongoing clinical trials for its proprietary protein-generating technologies and related products.
