SCHERING'S ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE YASMINELLE APPROVED IN THE NETHERLANDS

Schering AG said its new low-dose oral contraceptive Yasminelle has been approved by the regulatory authorities in the Netherlands. It said the Netherlands will serve as the Reference Member State for the upcoming Mutual Recognition Procedure to gain Europe-wide marketing approval for the drug. Yasminelle is similar to Schering's oral contraceptive Yasmin, but offers a lower estrogen dose, according to the company.
