FDA CLEARS RTI'S XENOGRAFT CHIPS AND CUBES

August 19, 2005

Regeneration Technologies (RTI) said the company's Sterling Cancellous Chips and Cancellous Cubes have received FDA 510(k) clearance from the FDA and should be available for distribution later this year.

The Florida-based processor of orthopedic, cardiovascular and other allograft implants said the xenograft chips and cubes are used to fill bone voids after surgery or traumatic injury. A major feature of the Sterling Cancellous Chips and Cancellous Cubes, RTI said, is that they provide a scaffold for bone healing and incorporate into the patient's own bone.

The Sterling Cancellous Chips and Cancellous Cubes also offer the benefits of RTI's BioCleanse Tissue Sterilization Process, enabling delivery of xenograft implants that are sterile with improved biocompatibility and preserved structural integrity.
