IDENIX FILES $170 MLN STOCK SHELF

Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IDIX.O: Quote, Profile, Research) may periodically sell up to $150 million in common stock while existing shareholders may offer shares worth an additional $20 million, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based drug company said it plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes including, acquisitions, research and development and working capital, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
