NPS PHARMA FILES $200 MILLION SHELF

NPS Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday it filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell up to $200 million of common and preferred stock, depositary shares, senior and subordinated debt securities, and/or warrants from time to time. NPS said this shelf is intended to give the company flexibility to take advantage of financing opportunities as they arise.
