BRAZIL DRUGS DEAL FOR ANTI-AIDS MEDICINES

Brazil's health minister signed a memorandum of understanding with the Clinton Foundation that would allow the country to obtain anti-Aids medicines more cheaply. Saraiva Felipe signed the memo in the capital, Brasilia, with Ira Magaziner, director of the HIV/Aids initiative of the foundation established by former US president Bill Clinton. Under the agreement, the foundation would provide technical support to help the Brazilian government obtain raw materials for the production of Aids drugs at reduced prices, the ministry said.
