SERVIER CHOOSES TRIPOS AS CHEMISTRY PARTNER IN SEARCH FOR NEW DRUGS

Tripos, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPS), a leading provider of drug discovery chemistry and informatics products and services, and Servier, the largest independent French pharmaceutical company, have announced they will work together to identify potential drugs. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Servier successfully identified and subsequently validated therapeutic compounds from Tripos' LeadQuest(R) compound collection. Based on these important results, Servier has now chosen to partner with Tripos to further design and synthesize compounds for potential drug development.
