SUNESIS PHARMA FILES FOR 6 MILLION SHARE IPO

Sunesis Pharmaceuticals Inc. may offer up to 6 million shares for between $9 and $11 a share in an initial public offering according to a regulatory filing on Thursday. Underwriters, led by Lehman Brothers and SG Cowen & Co., have the option to buy an additional 900,000 shares to cover over-allotments, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The South San Francisco, California-based company has applied for a Nasdaq listing under the symbol "SNSS" (SNSS.O: Quote, Profile, Research).
