CARDIOTECH RECEIVES FDA CLEARANCE FOR HEPARIN-COATED AUTO TRANSFUSION AND CARDIOTOMY PRODUCTS

CardioTech International, Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gish Biomedical Inc. ("Gish") has received FDA clearance for its auto transfusion and cardiotomy reservoir products with GBS Coating for the cardiopulmonary surgery market. The potential market for coated heart-lung bypass products in the U.S. is estimated at $250 million annually. The worldwide market for heart-lung products is estimated at $500 million annually.
