HEALTHCARE INVESTORS MORE INTERESTED IN MIDWEST
Healthcare investors have increasing interest in Midwest device manufacturers, a survey of venture capital firms found. The survey, conducted by BioEnterprise, asked investors to assess Midwest healthcare investment opportunities.
According to the 10-day survey, half the investors polled found interest in the device industry to be "strong" or "very strong," and a majority of the investors found an increase in the number of device deals taking place. The survey also found that the Minneapolis, Minn., Cleveland and St. Louis regions have the strongest overall reputations. Investor interest in the region "bodes well for continued growth in healthcare venture investment across the Midwest," BioEnterprise President Baiju Shah said.
