PAK PHARMA COMPANIES KEEN ON INDIA

September 15, 2005

Unhappy with Chinese machinery and raw materials they have been importing so far, Pakistani pharmaceutical companies are now longing to increase their business ties with India, and asked New Delhi to relax the "stringent visa norms". "Pakistan pharma industry looks at India as the big brother. The Indian pharma industry has prospered a lot. It has great quality FDA approved plants, raw material for life saving drugs and companies like Ranbaxy which are competing globally. This makes the Indian pharma market one of the best," Islamabad-based Pramount Pharmaceuticals CEO Nasir M Qureshi said in Mumbai on Thursday.
