MAYNE MOVES ON WITH PLANS TO SPLIT

Mayne Group has taken further steps forward in its plan to split into two companies by announcing the boards and chief financial officers of both businesses. The group has also lodged an explanatory memorandum on the demerger with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Mayne plans to retain its domestic health-care operations while spinning off its pharmaceuticals business into a separate company, Mayne Pharma.
