PHARMAXIS TO UNDERTAKE DUAL RAISING

Pharmaxis Ltd is set to become the first biotech firm to undertake a simultaneous capital raising in the US and Australian markets. Pharmaxis chief executive officer Alan Robertson said the strategy had been developed over the last 18 months and would increase the stock's liquidity and analyst coverage, as well as broaden its investor base. "It's been the plan all along to build an international business here -- the products are being trialled around the world and were planning to launch the first one in Europe and Australia next year," he said.
