TOPIGEN ADDS TO SERIES B ROUND AN INVESTMENT OF CA$6 MILLION FROM CAISSE DE DEPOT ET PLACEMENT DU QUEBEC

TOPIGEN Pharmaceuticals Inc., a developer of multi-targeted respiratory products that inhibits major pathways involved in cellular recruitment and inflammation, today announced that it has raised CA$6 million in a second closing of its Series B round of financing. This investment raises TOPIGEN's Series B total to CA$28.6 million, one of the largest rounds in Canada in 20042005. This latest investment comes from Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec.
