TAKEDA GAINS APPROVAL TO SELL BROPRESS AS HEART FAILURE TREATMENT IN JAPAN

The Ministry of Labor, Health and Welfare has approved Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd's Bropress as a treatment for heart failure, Japan's largest drugmaker said in a statement. Bropress is the first antigotensin receptor blocker approved by the ministry here to treat heart failure, it said. Bropress, known as Candesartan in the US, was originally approved as a hypertension treatment.
