SCHERING TO TAKE EQUITY STAKE IN SONUS

German drug-maker Schering AG has signed a deal with U.S.-based Sonus Pharmaceuticals Inc. that will give it an equity stake in the company and the exclusive global license to its Tocosol Paclitaxel anti-cancer drug, Schering said Tuesday. Berlin-based Schering will take a 15 percent equity investment in Sonus, which is based in Bothell, Wash.
