SEPRACOR THIRD-QTR LOSS NARROWS; SHARES RISE

Sepracor Inc. (SEPR.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Tuesday said its third-quarter loss narrowed, driven by higher-than-expected sales of its new sleeping pill, Lunesta. The company's shares rose as much as 5 percent in premarket electronic trading. The Marlborough, Massachusetts-based drugmaker posted a net loss of $2.2 million, or 2 cents per share compared with a loss of $130.4 million, or $1.40 a share, a year earlier.
