MYRIAD GENETICS, INC. REPORTS RESULTS FOR FIRST QUARTER OF FISCAL 2006

Myriad Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MYGN) today reported financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2006. For the three-month period ended September 30, 2005, predictive medicine revenues increased to $21.5 million from $14.4 million in the same quarter of the prior year, an increase of 49%. Growth in predictive medicine revenues resulted from increased market penetration across all four product lines.
