GPC BIOTECH LAUNCHES TRIAL OF SATRAPLATIN

GPC Biotech is launching a Phase II trial of its cancer drug Satraplatin to treat breast cancer in patients who have undergone no more than one prior chemotherapy treatment regimen. Eighty patients are expected enroll in the multicenter, open-label study.

Satraplatin is currently also undergoing a Phase III trial to treat prostate cancer, and a new drug application to the FDA is planned for the second half of next year.
