ARENA PHARMACEUTICALS FILES FOR 10-MLN SHARE SHELF

Biotechnology company Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ARNA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) filed with regulators on Monday to periodically sell up to 10 million shares. San Diego-based Arena will use proceeds from the sales for clinical and preclinical development of internally discovered product candidates, for discovery research for new products, and for general corporate purposes, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
