SAVIENT GROSS SALES $23.6 MLN

Savient Pharmaceuticals Inc., (SVNTE.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday total gross sales were $23.6 million in the three months through Sept. 30 and the company was still preparing restated financial statements and periodic reports. The company has been working to preserve its Nasdaq listing since August, after it was cited for late filing of a quarterly report form. It said cash and cash equivalents were $68 million and the company was free of debt.
