S.A. BIOMED FIRM ATTRACTS EYE OF GIANT JOHNSON & JOHNSON

Local biomedical firm Advanced Bio Prosthetic Surfaces has inked a major deal with a mega medical-device manufacturer — New Brunswick, N.J.— based Johnson & Johnson. Although Johnson & Johnson officials declined to comment on the details of the deal, those involved locally say it holds the promise of generating "tens of millions of dollars" in royalties for Advanced Bio and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
