The American public's growing concern about the harmful effects of the sun will lead an increasing number of US dermatologists and other health care professionals to adopt dermoscopy devices for skin analysis. According to a new report by Millennium Research Group (MRG), while the US market for dermoscopy devices generated just over $5 million in revenue in 2004, it will expand at an average annual rate of over 20%. By 2009, as the benefits of these technologies become more widely accepted among potential users, the emerging market will exceed $12 million.
