GENERICS CO TEVA CONSIDERING BUYING 3I GROUP'S BETAPHARM FOR 350 MLN EUR- REPORT

Generics maker Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd is considering buying 3i Group PLC's German generics company Betapharm, Die Welt's Saturday edition reported, citing sources. According to the newspaper, Teva is in exclusive talks with 3i Group, and is prepared to put 350 mln eur on the table for Betapharm, but whether 3i will accept is still open to question. 3i, a UK-based venture capital group, bought Betapharm for around about 300 mln eur last year.
