Pharmaceutical group Solvay SA is considering buying peer UCB SA's peptides unit UCB-Bioproducts, according to a source close to the company. The information is consistent with claims made in an earlier press report. 'According to my information, the article in De Tijd is right, ' said the source. 'The market is structured in such a way that all the players in that market will look at it,' the source added.
