KANE BIOTECH ANNOUNCES POSITIVE RESULTS FOR LEAD PRODUCT IN URINARY CATHETER STUDY

Kane Biotech, a leading biofilm company, is pleased to announce significant positive results in an in vivo study with KBI-5898, the Company's lead product for coating urinary catheters for the prevention of urinary catheter related infections. The pre-clinical study, sponsored by Kane Biotech, was designed using a recognized in vivo model with two key endpoints. The first endpoint was a reduction in bacterial colonization on the catheter surface. The second endpoint was a reduction in catheter related infection, as measured by testing for the presence of bacteria at the site surrounding the catheter.
