SANKYO, DAIICHI PHARMACEUTICAL TO ESTABLISH JOINT HEALTHCARE BUSINESS COMPANY

Daiichi Sankyo announced on November 25 that its wholly owned subsidiaries Sankyo and Daiichi Pharmaceutical have agreed to establish a new company, Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Co., Ltd., as of December 15. The two subsidiaries will sign a business transfer agreement on December 22 to transfer their respective healthcare operation to Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare, which will undertake their operations beginning in April 2006.
