SCHERING MULLS SALE OF CIS BIO UNIT; WOULD RESULT IN NEGATIVE ONE-OFF EFFECT

Schering AG said it is considering selling its CIS bio International SA radiopharmaceutical business and that such a sale would have a negative one-time effect on results. 'However, as this is part of our restructuring program FOCUS, it would improve the profitability of Schering on the whole,' a spokesman said, adding that he could not disclose how large the one-off effect would be.
