SANOFI-AVENTIS TO INJECT EUR51 MILLION FOR FRANKFURT EXPANSION

French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis (SNY) (SNY) Friday specified it will inject up to EUR51 million for the expansion of its Frankfurt production site. On Thursday, Matthias Braun, head of active ingredients production in Frankfurt, had told Dow Jones Newswires the investment could total EUR42 million. The world's third-largest pharmaceutical company by sales has plans to expand its Frankfurt operations for the making of diabetes treatments Apidra and Lantus.
