CADILA TO SET UP $2M CENTRE IN COLOMBO

Pharma major Cadila Pharmaceuticals is setting up a bio-medical R&D centre in Colombo to produce life-saving vaccines. "It is a big project which will focus on manufacturing vaccines for life-threatening diseases like HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and other communicable diseases in Colombo, mainly to provide them at affordable costs," said Cadila joint vice-president (finance) Vembu S.
