MERCK TIES UP WITH PATH

Global pharma giant Merck & Co., Inc. said on Thursday that it has tied-up with non-profit organisation PATH to conduct clinical studies of Merck's investigational rotavirus vaccine, Rotateq, in Asia and Africa. The clinical trial sites will be identified in the next six months, with a goal of starting at least one trial by the end of 2006, the company said in a release.
